The World Of Pictures On Nuggets

Thanks to Taxloss' kind help, I do believe that the world of pictures on the blog has been opened up to me. If you can see the logo, it has. If you can't, blame Taxloss. Or me. Cos I'm clearly more blameworthy. Obviously I'm still into my ex-company's blame culture.

Anyway, with any luck I can now go back and redo all those photo-dependent comments I made - by adding the photos! I suspect it will improve the feature no end.

So cast your mind back to when I pointed out that the wife of everyone's favourite defeated Presidential candidate didn't half resemble the wife and mom of everyone's favourite father and daughter spy team.

Now I can give photos as proof! Here goes:

I mean, c'mon! I'm not mistaken, right?

The new logo? I'm lovin' it. Also, the Kerry/Bristow thing is, as you say, remarkable.

Thanks for your help, Taxloss. Couldn't have done it without you (as I think my failed attempts proved!)

Glad you both like the logo :)

Oooo, and Fizzwhizz - glad you concur on the Heinz/Bristow issue. It took me months to figure out who Heinz reminded me of, but when I finally did... It suddenly became clear why I felt unable to trust her.

So, how do you put pictures on the blog then? Wanna wanna wanna on mine. Which will unfortunately involve thinking of something to picture. Indeed, something to write - life in the sticks has not been particularly exciting of late. But you know, I never promised I'd write stuff on it every damn day.

Ah, well, Fizzwhizz, I can now advise you on this issue thanks to the Picture Wisdom Of The Taxloss.

At Mr Taxloss' suggestion, I set up an account at www.flickr.com. I was amazed at how easy it was to use - you just upload your pictures, and then the site itself gives you the HTML code. And that's it. Made me wonder how I'd managed to turn the whole thing into such a source of difficulty.

Flickr should be paying me, the amount of good rep I've given them. When MSN Pictures used to exist, that was good, but then Bill Gates discovered that he was providing a good service for free, and it had to be shut down.

Fizzwhizz: posting images is dead easy. First, find a site like Flickr that will put them online for free. Find the exact location of the image. Then, post this, only using < where I use (

    (img src="http://www.theexactlocationofyourimagelikeIjustsaid.com")

    and there you go ...

Hey! My mate Prandial (the One Who Initiated Me Into Blogging) has a flickr account and uses it as a sort of storytelling device: he puts up pictures of doorbells in Florence and writes little pieces of fiction to go with each one. Very pleasant diversion and interesting use of the service. He's called it Flicktion. Will pass on link if anyone is interested.

Nice logo McReadie! How about a Subway-based logo next? I'm not familiar with the food but I do find their logo rather attractive. I've had nothing from Subway despite all your recommendations as 1) there isn't one near my office and the one near home is, confusingly, also an EasyEverything internet cafe, student travel centre and Bureau de Change and desperately unattractive as a place to eat and 2) I'm more firmly placed in Fizzwhizz's "make your own, bring your own" camp. I've got four different patterns for knitting my own muesli, you know.
